Ph.D.
(Dr. Tony)
Co-President

Dr. Tony also started full
time in 1963. He came to M&V from a management position at Bankers' Trust. Tony
immediately took on responsibility for outside sales. He was so successful in
bringing new business into the company that it got harder and harder for him to
get out selling. So he gradually started working inside on purchasing and sales
while sharing all other responsibilities with Joseph and Paul Vallario.
Tony has an undergraduate degree a Master's Degree in business, and a Doctorate
in Business and Entrepreneurship. He is married to Joan and they have three
children: Ann Marie, Michael and Anthony Jr. as well as seven grandchildren:
Joey, Justin, Eric, Melissa, Michael, Anthony and Anthony Kenneth. He has many interests off the
job. He was an adjunct professor, teaching Business at a local college. He
taught entrepreneurship for adult education. Tony also gets involved in
organizing and running large craft and street fairs for various towns in Long
Island. In addition, he is the Special Assistant to The Mayor of New Hyde Park
for Business Development and serves on Congress Woman Carolyn McCarthy's Small
Business Advisory Committee and a member of the Advisory Board for the Business
Administration Department at Boricua College. Tony has written several research
journals, including Family Business, Leadership, entrepreneurship, Writing a
Business Plan, Business Development, and Starting your Own Business Workshop.
Dr. Ciuffo was also instrumental in starting 12 successful business
enterprises. As if that wasn't enough, he is involved in building a Condo
complex in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. His hobby is business, his interest is
business, and his second love is business (first love being his wife Joan and family).
Tony feels that M&V's strong points are it's aggressive marketing techniques
and having the right product at the right price. Also, its commitment to form a
partnership with its customers and suppliers have assured M&V's longevity. Its
honesty and friendly demeanor have enhanced its reputation throughout the
years. M&V's caring and hard working supervisors along, with the involvement of
Paul and Tony's sons, Joseph Vallario and Michael Ciuffo will continue M&V's
success as a 3rd generation business into the 21st Century.
